Suhail Umrani alias Raj

Karl Marx has produced a revolutionary book named Das Kapital in the history of social science. Das Kapital is a political economy critic that is a groundbreaking substance in the theory of economics and politics. Das Kapital is a manuscript that has initially published in 1867. Das Kapital is the most-quoted book in its genre. Karl Marx, in his writings, concentrated on exposing economic practices; his document is in contrast to Adam Smith. Friedrich Engels was another figure who published the second and third volumes of Das Kapital.

In Das Kapital, Marx argues that the driving force of capitalism lies in the abuse of laborers since the capitalist uses labor to surpass his overall production. The capitalist accelerates his surplus-value in a legal manner because he/she has the supervision of a government that gives the owner property rights and legal security.

Das Kapital offers an interpretation of the rules of the capitalist economic structure such as the production of wealth, the rise of wage labor, the restructuring of the workplace, the development of capital, commercial competition, and financial system, the decrease of the rate of profit, land, and rents.

Volumes of Das Kapital

Das Kapital has primarily three volumes, the first volume published in 1867. Karl Marx died in 1883, and after his death, Friedrich Engels edited and published the second volume in 1885 and the third volume in 1894 consequently.

Volume I

Das Kapital's first volume consists of a critical study of the political economy. The first volume manuscript opposes capitalists over labor class, or as a contradiction between the surplus-value of capitalists and the social struggle of the working class.

Volume II

In the second volume, there are three theories about how the economy, value, and surplus value exist. Moreover, it is contradictory to the first volume, which discusses the trade cycle, the imbalance between supply and demand.

Volume III

In the third volume, the main emphasis is on profit, such as the turn of surplus-value into profit. Besides that, how capital or money can entertain and interest can benefit the entrepreneur, and how land rent reward.

Translations of Das Kapital

Conclusion

The Das Kapital bridged a balance for the labor class and constructed ideas that influenced the suitable economic environment to a battle between communist governments against capitalism.

There is a mixed description of Karl Marx's book; Das Kapital has received favorable critical feedback since its release. Historians and economists claim that how the case of the working class had portrayed and capitalism revealed in the nineteenth century was time-consuming and that Das Kapital was successful. In comparison to popularity, Das Kapital often received passive reviews.

Das Kapital is a must-read understanding of the political and economic crisis of the nineteenth century and the transition of communism from that period to the twentieth century.
